The Garnaut Climate Change Review
The Garnaut Climate Change Review was an independent study conducted by Professor Ross Garnaut and commissioned by Australia's Commonwealth, state and territory Governments. The Review was established on 30 April 2007, and concluded on 30 September 2008.
The Review examined the impacts of climate change on the Australian economy, and has recommended medium to long-term policies and policy frameworks to improve the prospects for sustainable prosperity. A number of forums were held around Australia to engage the public on various issues relating to the Review. The Review's Final Report was released on 30 September 2008.

|Ross Garnaut has been a Professor of Economics in the Research School of Pacific and Asian Studies at the Australian National University since 1989. In 2008, he was appointed as Vice Chancellor's Fellow at the University of Melbourne. He is currently Chairman of a number of international companies and research organisations, including the International Food Policy Research Institute, and a board member of several others. From 1985-88, Professor Garnaut was the Australian Ambassador to China.|
